刚开始读到这个故事时，我百思不得其解。按理说，鬼的愿望极低，已经低到尘俗里了。几万银子都可以随便相送，怎么会满足不了这样一个退而求其次的简单要求呢。难道金钱和富贵，还抵不上尘俗里的一个小小的愿望吗？
现在，我懂了这个故事。我觉得，冥王真是把这个纷扰的尘世看清了，也参透了。
是的，这个世界，富贵如指尖的薄暖，浮名若云影的轻凉，即便会绚丽，但似烟花，难以长久。只有“一生衣食不缺，无是无非，烧清香，吃苦茶，安闲过日子”的生活，才是人生至境，如水扬清波，如风过疏林，每一个日子，看起来很清淡，但都是心头的日子，潜着香，藏着甜，是自己真正活过的每一天。
我们活在这个世界上，每天不断地奔跑，甚至奔命，追逐的，是世俗的需要，而非心灵的需求。富可敌国的人，未必找到了快乐；权倾一方的人，未必寻觅到了幸福。快乐和幸福，说到底，不是金钱和权力，只是心底里的一种安闲与宁静。
有一首民歌唱道：你眼前有的景，你没有看；你手头有的福，你没有享。是啊，我想说的是，我们多少人，在人生的这一刻，不正活在这人世间最美的至境中吗？可是，又有多少人，意识到了这一点，感受到了这一点？于是，多少眼前的美景被辜负了，多少手头的幸福白白地流逝了。
一鬼托生时，冥王判作富人。
鬼曰：“我不愿富。只求一生衣食不缺，无是无非，烧清香，吃苦茶，安闲过日子足矣。”
冥王曰：“要银子使，再给你几万也是有的，但这样的安闲清福，难给你享啊。”
说实在的，我很为故事中的鬼赞叹，他不仅品性高阔，心境辽远，而且还谙识人生要旨。
你看他对来生的打算，不取富贵，唯求素朴清雅，淡泊一生，可谓无欲无求了吧。哪料，冥王兜头一瓢凉水：要银子，可多多给你，这样的清福，实在难以成全。
