CAIRO, Feb. 10 (Xinhua Feng Kang Zhu Junqing) Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak delivered a televised speech the evening of 10 local time, said the decision to be part of the constitutional transfer of power to Vice President Suleiman, while he himself will not resign as president.
Mubarak said in his speech, according to the Constitution, he would shoulder his responsibility to defend the country's stability, until September at the new free and fair presidential elections in Egypt to achieve a smooth transition of power.
Mubarak said the protesters demanded the voice of democracy is justified and legitimate, and he listened and did not respond to requests from young people feel uneasy.
